Clubes sociales ABLS

Desarrollo de habilidades sociales en clubes sociales.

Nuestros clubes sociales se enfocan en desarrollar habilidades sociales dentro de una variedad de entornos y actividades mediante el uso de ABA. Los grupos se forman en función de las fortalezas y necesidades individuales de cada estudiante, que se evalúan a través de una Evaluación de habilidades sociales antes de la colocación. A lo largo de cada programa, los maestros implementan programas específicos de habilidades sociales para guiar a cada participante hacia objetivos individualizados mientras maximizan las oportunidades para la participación de los compañeros. Los datos se recopilan sistemáticamente y se analizan con frecuencia para garantizar una medición continua y decisiones basadas en datos.

Pre-School (3-5 years old)

Our Preschool Program combines center and home based services depending on the needs of each family. We utilize traditional discrete trial methods such as discrete trials as well as natural environment teaching (NET) while working on developing emotional regulation and social skills.

Cooking Group

In cooking group chefs will have access to a full open floor plan kitchen to work on meal planning, nutrition, reading and listening skills, sequencing, turn-taking, measuring and adjusting recipes, food tasting and becoming familiar with identifying and operating a variety of kitchen tools.

The Art of Storytelling

The Art of Storytelling group focuses on the development of inferencing, perspective taking, and sequencing skills using examples in popular films. It leads to practice exchanging stories in conversation, while developing perspective taking.

Mystery Monday

Students will develop inferencing skills, tolerance to frustration, problem solving skills, and perspective taking, while solving mysteries or escape-room type puzzles!

Video Gamer Group

The Video Gamers group provides an opportunity for tweens to make friends, maintain relationships, practice group decision-making, strengthen conversation abilities and develop other healthy, age-appropriate social skills such as negotiation, conflict resolution and sportsmanship.

Girls Club

Our program offers a space for children to develop social skills to navigate the unique social situations of growing up a girl. Groups promote skills such as forming and maintaining social relationships, non-verbal communication and body language, social perspective taking, self-regulation, impulse control and frustration tolerance.

Magic Monday

Children will develop social skills while learning the art of deception and illusion! Topics will include reading body language, interpreting tone of voice, and understanding white lies. Beginning magic kit included.

Introduction to Minecraft

Learn the fine balance between cooperation and competition for resources while you build houses, ride horses, and spawn pets in this popular millennial game.

Teen Hangout

Teen Hangout provides an opportunity for teenagers to make friends, maintain relationships, practice group decision-making, strengthen conversation ability and develop other healthy, age-appropriate social skills.

Book Club

Our book clubs use contemporary and classic fiction novels to develop inferencing, perspective taking, and sequencing skills and expand figurative language.

Friday Short Film Festival

This group focuses on the development of inferencing, perspective taking, and sequencing skills using short films as exemplars. Acting techniques are used to teach conversation, non-verbal communication and perspective taking.

Virtual Band/Chorus

This multi-age group develops social skills while participants singing and play together. Support roles are also available for participants that are not musically inclined but have an interest in video editing.
